Nazia’s Story: An Afghan Refugee’s Relentless Commitment to Education and Hope
When the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, Nazia lost her dream job as an English teacher, and her freedom was replaced by a cloud of fear. She never gave up hope, and thankfully, after a harrowing journey earlier this year, she has found a fresh start in Boston.

serving more than 15,000 refugees and immigrants a year, and the support needed at the state and federal levels to ensure that newcomers to New England find safety and success.
